DNF, yeah fun to listen to but also I didn’t care for a single character and if I had to listen to the miscommunication trope one more fucking time I was going to lose it

WOW. That ending made me want to scream and cry and possibly punch something. This book was absolutely brilliant, and broke my heart a million times. I was actually sobbing at the end

Let me start by saying that I loved how it picked up right where book one left off because I hate when authors do those massive time jumps and then give us flashbacks leading up to where they are now. Some other things that made me enjoy reading and listening to this book were the pace, and how the characters felt like they were the same person from book one yet somehow different in book two because of how they have grown. I love how human and relatable Violet Sorrengail felt as a character and that she didn't try to justify that keeping secrets from her friend was right even though it kept them safe but that she felt guilt which made her all the more relatable. While reading and listening to this book I felt that Rebecca Yarros took her time with the plot because the pace felt steady and unrushed. I also love the balance between romance and fantasy. I love how I got to see a different side of some of the characters I fell in love with in book one. I wanted a little more scene with Dain Aetos in the beginning but by the middle, I realized why we hadn't gotten many scenes with him at first and it made a lot of sense. I could go on for days about all the things I love about this book but I'm just gonna end it here, I love the little easter eggs, the unexpected plot twists (or revelations), Xaden's P.O.V, and of course the cliffhanger

Another banger in this series. So many twists and turns, some that I saw coming and others that absolutely surprised me. Can't wait to read the next!

This book definitely feels like it was rushed, both in terms of writing and editing. That having been said, it brings a massive expansion to the world of fourth wing and is a thoroughly enjoyable (if a bit long) rollercoaster. So excited for the next installmemt in this series.

Slow first third but picked op the pace from there.

Þessi heimur er aðeins of flókinn fyrir mömmuheilan minn og náði ég ekki alveg að tengja allt saman. Plot twistið í lokinn kom mér mjög á óvart og var skemmtilegt/spes/skrítið? Eigilega bara skrítið……….. held ég lesi ekki næstu bók hehe finnst þetta of flókinn heimur
