The father of the "near death" movement, this book goes one step farther to examine the living using gazing or the ancient method of scrying to contact the dead. Interspersed with Moody medical issues and personal problems, this book is easy to read and brings up some interesting phenomena to be investigated further.

Well, first off wasn't really what I was looking for when I checked it out originally, I was looking more towards ghost experiences, because reading about that kind of thing interest me for whatever reason. Yet, I actually quite enjoyed it, kind of made me question what will happen when I die, and made me wonder if I, myself could come in contact with my deceased relatives. But, I actually enjoyed this book, I might read his other one Life After Life.

This is my second book by Dr. Moody. I might not read anymore of his writings. I just don't enjoy his books, like I do others. I have no doubt, that I would greatly enjoy talking to him: I just don't prefer his books.
This book does contain some intriguing information about the author, his life, and research.
I greatly enjoyed the last 5% of the book. If it wasn't for that 5%, I would have given this book just two stars.
I agree with other reviewers that mention how Moody repeats himself, in this book and others. Sometimes, in this book, he repeats himself word for word. So much information and stories are repeated in his books. All this repeated information is unneeded, and is a waste of the reader's time.

I think that the people who are disappointed about this book are those who stated that it us about Moody's life. That fact is written right into the title. He has written several other titles on his research if you are interested in that. I found his life fascinating. His whole life lead him to do what he does. I thought it was honest and to the point. He doesn't seem to be sensationalist or a narcissist to me at all.
