I didn’t connect with many of the characters and was more invested in the sister’s relationship than the MCs. The formal vocabulary of the MMC distracted me. I know that was part of his personality but it was jarring. I did like the inclusivity and diversity, and the empowerment for the characters to move past bad relationships. The writing was mostly good too. So 3 stars but I don’t feel compelled to read book 2 (which I think I can already predict based on the last chapter or two of this one). It was very spicy.
