A little disorienting at first but definitely worth taking the plunge!

A crime that we only have a fraction of Halo's saga. The world wasn't ready for a main character like this, I guess. A rare instance of Military Science Fiction that gets a gold star sticker from me. And the art was fantastic, every bit of it a vital part of the experience.

A masterpiece by Moore and Gibson introduces and follows Halo Jones as the hero in a dystopian, overcrowded and violent future. Her character will grow and at the end of the series you see a complete transformation. If there is something to want is that the series ended too abruptly, but the plot threads served by Moore were all perfect enough to compensate for it.

This was my second attempt to read this, and, to be honest, I almost bailed halfway through book one. I mean, this is by Alan Moore, easily one of my top five favorite writers so why is it not drawing me in. Then.. something clicked and it became a fascinating character study in a fascinating sci-fi world that is both familiar and unique, at the same time. Glad I powered through.
