It’s good, very good and as a follow up to the hunter it fills in the story quite well. Only reason it doesn’t get a perfect score is the pacing was better in the first by a bit

The second Parker book is not quite as groundbreaking as the The Hunter, but the story is even more engrossing. This entry is far more linear and Stark makes up for complexity with building out Parker's character and the type of people he works with. A particular standout in this book is Stubbs who adds a complication that forces Parker out of his comfort zone. This book is propulsive until the ending that leads directly into the next book. So far Stark's stories have scratched a particular itch and I'm excited to read more. I've heard this next one is his best.
