I really wanted to love this book. And I feel that improved as it went on, but I struggled to follow parts of the story. I felt there was room for improvement to make the story more fluid, it felt very 2 dimensional and I found it hard to fully immerse myself in the story. When it had my attention I was entertained, but I’m not sure if I’ll read any future books.

I swear, if I read the word lividity one more time!!!!
It felt like the author tried so hard to write an accurate police/pathologist procedural, they forgot to actually write an interesting story.
This was basic, and there are much better cat and mouse thrillers out there. Not worth the hype in my opinion.
