This was a quick fun read. I got super into it right away. I’d suggest it to someone in a reading slump. Some of the lines were corny and it could be kind of repetitive but this is definitely a book written to be fun to read and it was.

Wasn’t enjoying it. Didn’t particularly care for the characters or writing.

Felt like half of a potentially good book. The two perspectives were interesting, and the twist was excellent, but the ending felt like the midpoint, not even a cliffhanger. Needed to be longer and a completed tale.

Love Alaina and I'm an avid listener of Morbid.

That being said, I was sort of thrown with the two timelines and I have some very pressing questions for Wren.
1) Why are you still in Louisiana?
2) You needed a fortune teller to remind you of your trauma?
3) What happened to your friends? Sad the fortune teller never came back into play.
4) I would be absolutely obsessed trying to find the guy that did that to me. Girl why are you 'angry' but not going through the length to get revenge.

Second half of the book was a quicker pace and I liked the short chapters but I needed more about Wren and her motivations. I needed the police officers to realize that Jeremy wasn't really smart, he's just a psycho with a gun and too much time on his hands.
