I decided to read this book because the author is the co-host of one of my favorite podcasts "Morbid." I read some of the review before reading this book and worried that the book wouldn't be up to my standards. In the first couple of chapters, yes, the word "lividity" is used quite often but it doesn't appear after that. Also, it's a term typically used in the morgue so it makes sense that it was used with such frequency. As for the actual plot, I did enjoy reading more from the serial killer's perspective rather than the M.E. but that may just be because I'm morbidly (ha! get it?) interested in serial killers. The twist in the book was a little confusing at first but then when I wrapped my head around it, it made sense. It wasn't as shocking as other twists I've read though. I'll definitely read the sequel to this!

meh. started off strong but petered out. I feel like everything was rushed. I wish the author would've sat with every chapter a bit more and gave more depth to everything...especially the killer.
I love these types of cat and mouse and effed up murderer guys stories and the fact that it SPOILER ALERT ended on a cliff hanger and I'm not motivated to buy the next book says a lot.
