Picked this book up because I like the authors podcast, however her novel... It gets a little redundant. In the first few chapters it's pretty clear the author researchs true crime regularly; she adds little summarize of other serial killers, which to me, slows the pace waaay down.

I so wanted to love this book as much as I love the Morbid podcast and I’m sad I didn’t. Wouldn’t recommend.
The suspension of disbelief required to buy in to this plot was truly astronomical. That being said, it was an easy & quick read.
You know, I didn’t hate it. It was better than I was anticipating and I’ll definitely read a sequel if there is one.

overall a solid read!! nothing too too amazing, but it wasn’t bad. i enjoyed the characters, the plot was very well thought out. I enjoyed some of the references, while others were kind of cringey. I think that the plot of this book makes up for the stiff dialogue. I will 100% be reading the second book !!
