Cat & mouse thriller told through two different point of views. This isn’t the best thriller I’ve read but I would consider reading the second book. Definitely a quick read to get out of a slump.

Unfortunately the twist was so terribly bad the entire rest of the story suffered, all for the sake of turning this into a series a la Hannibal and Will Graham, without any of the intricacies and understanding that the characters have between one another. It reads like the pulpy stuff that paved the way for other writers back in the day of pulp.

Book seemed a bit fast paced, I think more detail would have enriched the plot in a way I would want to read it in one sitting. It wasn’t a bad read, but I’m not sure it would be at the top of my recommendations. Overall, it’s a nice easy read if you have a weekend to spare.

Was a five until the ending

Good for spooky season but unsatisfying ending

Difficult to get through at times but so very gripping at the same time
