It wasn’t terrible, but it was just really short and felt rushed in so many ways. I know it’s supposed to be a novella but there wasn’t much of a plot and focused solely on the love story (and I’m sure we can all guess how it ends). Cute for a quick read, but don’t expect anything amazing.

This was really cute and fun to read. Also it is wayy to short.
As a novella it works but I also don't really know anything about the characters, except for their relationship with each other.
Would definitely recommend if you like Ali Hazelwood though

I literally couldn't with Mara. The audacity of this character to be mad at the dude who's life she's barged in on. And to imply that he should move out of the house? He was living there for however long, and all the furniture is his, and I'm not an expert at real estate law but I don't think you can just declare your moving into a house if it's occupied even if it's part your.
The whole premise of the book infuriated me and why would I want to read about this smul girl get railed by this BIG man when she's so unlikable.
I didn't bother skipping to that part. I read in other reviews it's awkward as heck.

Okay so apparently I’ve discovered that smart women & forced proximity tropes are my niche, I’ll take 100 more of these please. Honestly a little sad this was a novella because I would’ve read 100+ more pages of this
*half star deducted for Ali Hazelwood’s inability to write a single novel without a male MC described as huge, massive, looming, towering giant of a man who can wrap an entire hand around the female MC’s waist. We get it, you like giant dudes lol

This was a good easy read. Quite predictable, but as expected. I struggle with novellas and short stories and I feel bad about marking the book down for that, but that’s just my honest feeling towards the book. I liked that it starts at the present day and then flashes back, gradually building up to the moment they get together. Also, is Liam ace? He says he doesn’t like sex, so I’m assuming so. I would have liked for this to be explored more, but I think it’s great that Ali Hazelwood includes asexuality in her stories (e.g. Love Hypothesis)
