If this was the first book I’ve read of hers, I may have liked it more. It reminded me a lot of Seven Husbands, and I did enjoy the Easter egg from it!

IMO, the writing was good but story mediocre. It felt like I was walking up a hill waiting for the ride down, but the ride down didn’t occur until the last 1/4 of the book.

I appreciated the family dynamic and the closeness between the sibilings. I enjoyed the multiple viewpoints between characters and decades.

When the last party began, I began enjoying the story even more… probs because shiz hit the fan, Nina grew some, & Mick got the best surprise from his kids which I high fived them for!

Really though, Taylor has a way with words, no doubt. The story across the times simply felt too familiar to me after devouring Evelyn Hugo's drama.
