Super leuk boek! Weer heerlijk gelachen om de scenario's die geschetst werden in het boek. Met een mooi maar wel een beetje een voorspelbaar einde. Daardoor overigens niet minder leuk om te lezen.
Was an easy read but nowhere near her normal standard of story, this being said, was still an enjoyable read

I have read other books by Sophie Kinsella when I was younger that I very much enjoyed and wanted to give this one a go. However, I’m sorry to say that this book wasn’t for me and I struggled to get to the end.
From reading the back cover, I felt the story had the potential to be a sweet easy-going novel. I though the book would have been quite light-hearted and focus on the friendship, love and support of two sisters, Lottie and Fliss.
However, this was not the case. The storyline felt silly, overworked and often implausible.
In addition, some of the plot lines I felt went a bit too far to the point of not being enjoyable. In particular, the use of peanut oil, I feel, was not a funny stunt to play on a sister that has a serious nut allergy. This was quite upsetting to read and not funny at all, especially when you have a family member with a severe allergy and know how life-threating it can be.
Furthermore, the use of bad language throughout the novel was a big put off for me. It became tedious and almost unnecessary to the storyline.
On a positive, I did like the idea of the story being presented from the perspective of both sisters, although I was struggling to relate and get behind either character for the entirety if the novel.
Overall, I found this story hard to like or enjoy. I don’t like leaving bad reviews. However, I am disappointed by this book and feel sad as I very much like a lot of her earlier work.
I will revisit some of my favourite books by Kinsella and will perhaps give her next one a go.

This is Kinsella’s weakest book. There is no heart, the jokes fall flat, the characters’ are sadly unloveable, and there’s very little sincere character growth. It had a funny premise that just didn’t work.
Classic Sophie! Funny and cute, but could have been a little shorter and had the same effect.
It's a quick pick me up however, not my favourite By Sophie Kinsella. I felt I was racing to the end of the book to get it over with because it wasn't really catching much of my interest.
