Enter Father Magnus Falke, a catholic priest (who’s over twice her age) and basically head master of the school. He’s known for his ruthlessness, and dedication to the reformation of his students. Which is why he specifically is tasked with teaching and disciplining Tinsley one-on-one so he can keep a close eye on her by her mother.
Lord Jesus (of course) the angst in this book between these two 🥵 I went from hating to loving to hating to loving Magnus over the course of the first half of the book lol. I found Tinsley lovable from the beginning, but Magnus took a little to grow on me.
Once that rubber band snaps FULLY though…. freight train. As much as I hate hate hate to admit it, the angst throughout is a driving force to making the spice that much better. I’d rate it a 4/5 🌶️ overall.
Their connection and growth together, especially from Magnus’s POV is so heartwarming and lovely. Once again, that angst payoff of seeing them interact fully and give into each other is the best.
I’m also interested in the other characters stories as well, which are from books/series written by other authors? Which is really unique and I’ve never seen anything like that. Time to further expand the TBR I guess 🙄😅

I loved everything about Magnus and Tinsley. The way they fight their feelings for each other and the tension between them throughout this entire book was immaculate.
I love how strong willed Tinsley is, but also so sweet when it comes to animals. I definitely cried at one of the scenes involving opossoms. And I love how when she realizes the toll her seduction of Magnus is doing on him and his guilt, she pulls back on her plans and tries to come up with a new way to get in trouble to get away from her mother's demands, that won't make Magnus feel guilty, allowing him to make the choice on what they do together.
I also love how Magnus encourages Tinsley to reach her full potential, giving her private classes when he realizes how smart she is and how the classes at the school aren't enough for her, and how he encourages her to go after what she wants.
I just love the two of them together so much. They have incredible chemistry and are just absolutely amazing.
I goes without saying that I'd highly, highly recommend this book. I barely put this down since I started it. I stayed awake all night and clear into the morning just to finish it.

The slow burn was amazing, and so was the plot and the smut. So far, this book definitely has to be one of my favourite reads yet.
