I bought this book because I had only heard rave reviews for Murakami's other book, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, but this book was a CHORE to read. It was full of too many moving parts with flimsy or fleeting connections to one another and frankly I just got tired of trying to keep everything staight.

While not as good as 1Q84, it was still a fantastic read. Murakami has quickly become a favorite of mine.
