unsettling; ended abruptly but i can't tell if that adds or detracts.

I hate giving 1 star reviews, but I couldn't stand this book even more. I read this for a horror book club pick and I'm going to be honest, I just skimmed the last story. I couldn't anymore. It was gross. Not even in a fun way, just gross. I actually felt sick to my stomach reading some of these nasty descriptions. And what was the obsession with pregnancy in the first two stories? Like, why? Really.

I found no real redeeming quality in this collection. The writing was not great (if I hear someone spooned something ever again it will be too soon, and how do ears furrow exactly??) It's only January 9th and I'm pretty sure this is going to the top of the worst books I read list for 2024 already.

It's a weird book and not my vibe of horror, almost didn't finish it because it was quite disturbing in way I didn't enjoy.
Not a fan of body horror.

Literally only writing a review of this book to say DO NOT READ THIS. It’s terrible awful vile and disgusting I would not recommend this to anyone just save yourself and don’t even go near it. Don’t even look this books way it’s not worth it.

I was promised gore and something terrifying embedded in the words of Eric LaRocca that could not escape from my mind. Yet what i really experienced was a short story of a slightly deranged Domme/Subject relationship with a gruesome ending that lacks any detail and all actual, true gore or horror features on the whole. overall, this book was well written and i like the conversation style that ran throughout the entire novella, however if you’re looking for real horror or honestly anything that conveys much emotion, look elsewhere. the majority of this book is told through emails and short anecdotes.
