Como todo lo que he leído a la fecha de Baricco, este libro narra más de lo que sus pocas páginas aparentan. Tres relatos con dos personajes, un hombre y una mujer, un anciano y una adolescente, un niño y una policía... El origen: un hotel, el final: un amanecer. Una excelente lectura para reflexionar sobre las decisiones que parecieran más sencillas pero que cambian el curso de nuestra vida.

Con questo libro terminano i miei tentativi di farmi piacere Baricco. Due stelle solo perché mi dispiace metterne meno e perché mi è piaciuto come i tre racconti sono stati collegati (tramite i personaggi, però, non con l'espediente dell'alba menzionato nel titolo). Stile eccessivamente artificioso, e 90 pagine con quel font a 7,50 è un furto.

The reason I`m giving this book 3 stars is only to encourage people who have read Baricco by now, to read it and make their own judgement, although the real rating should be two and a half stars. The story is okay-ish but there is a big gap or absence of that deepness I should say, that of most of the Barico's books have.

Non è neanche brutto. È inutile. E una volta finito rimane nell'aria un immenso, sentito: "Embè? E allora?". Il che è un peccato perché l'idea poteva anche essere carina, ma le tre immagini non sono niente di eccezionale, né di particolarmente esaltante e non danno al libro quel qualcosa che l'avrebbe reso gradevole anche senza un vero e proprio senso.

Al leer la premisa me pregunté cómo la iba a sacar adelante, y me maravilla la elegante sencillez con la que lo hizo, como si tal cosa. Tiene todas las cosas que hacen su estilo: diálogos veloces, tono agridulce, golpes repentinos de conmoción. Es un libro triste y delicado acerca de lo permanente, de cómo todo cambia y nada cambia y aún así hay momentos que lo trastocan todo de un instante a otro. Soy fan de Baricco, y me encantó, aunque creo que es un libro para quien gusta de lo íntimo y lo melancólico.

Omg, this is a lovely book. I really love the third part with the woman-Detective. I think that the third part is too short, i would really like if it was more pages. I love the last words of the Detective.
