this book is perfect. it jump started me back into reading. hearing the author narrate this book was haunting and beautiful. it's an exceptionally written memoir that also engages with a mostly unknown and devastating disorder. it's a vulnerable and stunning text that I think more people should read.

Not sure what to add as a trigger warning because there a so many. I loved the short chapters and the way she pulls the audio recordings in at the end.

so.......mixed feelings. there were brief snippets of saneism throughout the book, which I didn't love. for example - the outdated (incorrect and stigmatizing) way the author explained DID was not great. and then later in the book she literally said cptsd is the only diagnosis that is caused by other people/isn't your fault, unlike [list of highly stigmatized conditions that are literally also caused by trauma]. 

I did like a lot of things she did in this book. rly struggling to rate it.

I cannot word my love for this book in a proper way. It made me cry and it was intense but I couldn’t stop reading. Even working 10 hour shifts and being in school at the same time I finished it in four days.
