it’s a wrap!
The last book in the series and I have to say it’s my favorite! Upon reading the other books, you know this book is coming, and each book before it gave you some tidbits about this book. So while you’re reading the others you start to make predictions about this book and at the end of the day, I couldn’t predict what did end up happening! I love this story, so much build up, and it is really great to see everything from Lily’s POV and all that she has overcome. You fall in love with a lot of characters, you root for them, and the book delivers a great ending for all the characters in this world! Highly recommend!

I was a little checked out with the romance, but I was still super invested in the plot with both Lily and Mason‘s stories.
I read this right after Beneath the Hood and the way one minor detail in that book set up something major in this one…. I just knew it would come back because it was such a random specific detail to throw in, but I enjoyed making the connection literally two pages before it was officially revealed

I have loved loved this series from the beginning. And Beneath the Surface did not disappoint. We learn about Lily and Mason. Lily has a truly heartbreaking past that she had hid from her family and she has been on the run. But then in comes Mason. It’s a complicated start but filled with suspense and passion. My favorite part is how all four parts of this story come full circle and we end where it started. Every love story is real, filled with love and struggle. But love wins in the end.

To be honest I didn't had some high expectations on this book - first of all after finishing the third book (which kind of disappoint me) and secondly I just couldn't understand Lily in Beneath the Stars. But then it took a turn in which I found this book isn't that bad at all and which turned out perfect.
Neither Mason or Lily are one of my favourites in this series but it had everything someone can ask for. Both Characters are beautiful written and also were likeable to loveable. And again for me it's kind of difficult to find the female MC likeable! It was so good to hear the side of Lily and what happend to her in all those years.
As for the chemie between Lily and Mason - just perfect. Even their not my favourite couple in this series they have the highest rank. Lily and Mason are perfect for each other and they did deserve a bit of a happiness in their lives.
What I also like the most about that part was that we could see how they got back together. I just enjoy reading it. Oh and not to forget Baby Chase. He was so adorable - espessially the relationship with Mason or Alexander. Please let us all protect him.
All in all Beneath the Surface had everything a girl needs to be happy in life.
