This book completely wrecked me and then put me back together so beautifully and I'm actually in disbelief that Sugarlake is really over.
First and foremost, Emily McIntire, the way that you brought this entire book, and the entire series full circle in the end 😠There wasn't a single loose thread, every single thing was tied together perfectly to create the best ending to this series that I could've asked for.
The book itself is darker than the rest of the series so make sure to check up on your trigger warnings but it's so good. From beginning to end I was hooked but couldn't bring myself to keep going at times because my heart was aching too badly. These characters make you feel so much, and it means that much more when they finally get their happily ever after.
Mason, Lily, and Chase are the sweetest family and I love them so much. And seeing Lily able to finally reconnect with her family in Sugarlake and be able to give her son the life she always hoped to give him 🥹 The two of them were my favorite part of this book and I loved that her strength never wavered because of him. He's her light, her reason, and she would do anything to be by his side.
And to watch Mason fall not only for her but for her son too. There's nothing sweeter and I absolutely adored their relationship. The way he came into their life so perfectly and even after he had to leave them to face his demons, coming back, it felt like he never left. He was always meant to be theirs and to watch him and Lily heal themselves through their love for each other was so beautiful.
I'm so sad that my time in Sugarlake is over but I'll surely be thinking of this little small town forever 💜

This has to be my favourite of all the series due to the nature of the plot it hit a personal note. Absolutely adpred lily and mason and baby chase is adorable. The tiwst and turns in this book are amazing and im so glad we had the extendrd epilogue to find out what happened to all the ither characters
