A fun collection of some of [a:Nathan W. Pyle|7064519|Nathan W. Pyle|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1554663151p2/7064519.jpg]'s Instagram greatest hits. I really enjoyed the order that they were presented in and the production of the book overall.
What a pleasant start to the new year. While [b: Everyone’s A Aliebn When Ur A Aliebn Too|32497573|Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too|Jomny Sun|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1481043761l/32497573._SY75_.jpg|53090016] focuses on a single alien who’s been outcast and left to fend for himself and learn about earthlings, Pyle’s aliens joyfully learn the nuances of human life together. There‘s rarely (if ever) only one alien in Pyle’s comic panels. They experience and share everything they learn with gleeful naïveté and fascination. Jonny Sun’s “aliebn” is much more introspective compared to Pyle’s sociable “beings.” That’s not to say that the beings never get deep into their thoughts and feelings, but I think overall their comics are much more light-hearted and fun. I especially like figuring out what their unique identifiers are referring to, such as “skyshield” (umbrella), “spinblaster” (microwave), and “sustenance preserver” (refrigerator). It’s a fun way to think about everyday life from a different perspective. Highly recommend for a laugh or a nice mood lift.
I borrowed this from the library for some light reading between books. I wasn’t disappointed! I think it’s the most I’ve laughed in a long time. I need to purchase a copy.
it's the new ConeHeads -very funny observations from a suitable distance
best part of this type of humour is that there are often jokes in each of the 4 panels, and the funniest one (to each member of the audience) could be located in any one them, rather than the so-called punchline
for maximal laughs, read only 4 or 5 pages per sitting
