I've long been a fan of Nathan Pyle's Strange Planet on Facebook, and was delighted when I found a couple of graphic novels during my shelving adventures at the library where I work part time.

This volume was not disappointing. I had seen many of the comics on Facebook, but many were also new to me. I love the way Mr. Pyle re-phrases common terms, such as "sustenance preserver" for "refrigerator," and "ingest leaves" for eating vegetables. The cat is a "vibrating creature." Phrases such as "mouth-pushing" and "mouthstones" always make me giggle.

This was a delightful volume, and I can't wait to read the second one, which I also currently have checked out from the library, appropriately named Stranger Planet.

Strange Planet is hands down my favorite comic on the web. Relatable and laugh-out-loud hilarious. I couldn't resist buying the print version as a birthday present to me.

I had so much fun reading this. I'll certainly get the others too.

I love those alien guys. Some comics that aren't on the Instagram account

Always good for a good chuckle.

Eep! I totally forgot I read this one at the very end of last year. So totally adorable and a great book to give as a gift.

Strange Planet is a hilarious compilation of Alien cartoons. The humor in this book is right up my alley. A lot (if not all) of the comics are reproductions of his Instagram posts. The reposting doesn't bother me with Strange Planet because I laugh just as hard at them the second (and third, and fourth..) time. I was giggling out loud reading this at a Panera.
