Sherlock Holmes is a quirky character. I will admit I did not like all of the stories. I found a two or three hard to finish. They carried on to a point of distraction. My favorites were "A Study in Scarlet" and "The Adventure of the Speckled Band".

Such a comforting world to dip into over the two years it took to listen. Excellent stories - it is no wonder they have endured as they have, and Stephen Fry read them perfectly. I particularly enjoyed A Study in Scarlet and The Valley of Fear - these I thought were some of the very best books I've ever read/listened to and are so compelling.
The science of phrenology, the serious red man of the americas, etc. etc. Couldn’t recommend this in good faith
Absolutely brilliant. One of the most satisfying listens I've had.
Uttterly devastates that “The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes” wasn’t included in the US release. Otherwise, it was magic.
This is a great audiobook, it took us a year and a half of listening during longer drives to get through the whole thing but it was enjoyed by the whole family.

Some were definitely better than others but overall who doesn't love Sherlock Holmes?
