It's so nice to have them all in one place. Arthus Conan Doyle is one of my favorite late-19th, early-20th century writers. His style is engaging, vibrant, and at times, even funny.
I read all of these in college and remember really enjoying most of these works.

Excellent, up to the last collection which is much poorer in comparison
for a series of gripping stories you can't go past Sherlock Holmes! it's clear why these stories have remained in vogue for so long, being adapted into various tv programs and movies. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a superb writer for his time and remains great by today's standards.
I haven't read all the stories in this book yet. I only read the first two and will come back to the rest after a while. I was enjoying my first taste of Sherlock Holmes but the first two stories were very similar and I didn't want to end up not liking the stories because I read to many back to back. Holmes reminds me a lot of Gil Grissom from CSI mixed with Adrian Monk from Monk. He notices the smallest details and from there infers what is the most likely situation. The stories have many details and are good but they aren't necessarily laid out in the most exciting manor.
SHERLOCK!!! Lots of Sherlock! All the Sherlock! Original is best =)
