72 hours of Sherlock Holmes - done! It’s taken me all year to listen to this collection of stories about the great detective. I was determined to finish it before the new year. I didn’t want those stats going on 2024 when the majority of it had been listened to in 2023. Every year I try and read/ listen to one of the classics. This year I decided it would be the Sherlock Holmes collection. I don’t think I would have picked this up if it was in book format. The fact it was an audiobook and that it was read by Stephen Fry (who is awesome) made it more palatable. Stephen Fry’s accents and voices were really good and helped to portray the stories. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

The mysteries included definitely kept me on my toes trying to figure out how Holmes was solving them. I definitely recommend this book, especially for a rainy afternoon.

I read every short story and novel in 2 weeks, on holiday. Completely worth the read. You get sucked right in to every case.

Amazing, although it's a trek to get through all of them. I'd recommend it though.

I love, love, absolutely love Sherlock Holmes. His stories always have a twist that leaves you guessing until the end. His short stories are also nice because you can read just one a day and you aren't rushing to read what happens next.

Rated the different books separately with accommodating reviews.

Best Audiobook of 2019!

72 hours later, I've done it and it was the best - 5*

I'm not going to review the stories like a regular audiobook review because I've updated all the books individually and I can't sum up my love for Sherlock Holmes or how it has impacted my life.

In this review, I want to talk about Stephen Fry. He is a genius... a complete and utter genius. I must have encountered over a hundred voices that were so seamless and engaging. I adored his adaptation. It may have been 72 hours but my god I just freaking loved it soooo much. This audiobook has been everywhere with me and through everything. I've been so comforted by this. This is the reason I subscribed to Audible. (No regrets.) It was not just an audiobook and I promise you I will come back to this.

Sherlock, I'll see you soon.

I slow listened to the audio book of the complete series for over a year and I think taking in each story the way I did made me love it even more. Sherlock and wattson are fabulous. Arthur Conan Doyle certainly wrote a legend.

This is a great compilation read by one of my favorite actors, so what is not to like.
