Ok, so I didn't read ALL of this, but I did read enough to get the idea. I'm not a fan of mysteries, but after watching the PBS Sherlock series I thought picturing Benedict Cumberbatch as I read the "real" S.H. would be edifying. Eh. I'll go back to the show.

# ⛰ What It's About

This classic series needs no introduction as its reputation precedes it. The series is mostly written from the first-person perspective of Sherlock Holmes’ dear friend and partner, Dr John Watson in the mid-1800s in central London. In some of the final books in the collection, Doyle writes in 3rd person and also in first-person from the perspective of the great detective himself - Sherlock Holmes. Who calls himself a Private Detective Consultant situated on 221B Baker Street London. Throughout the series, you are taken on a series of adventures in search of criminals and on the red hot trails of mastermind villains. A few laughs and a few heartwarming moments are also scattered through the enticing murder mystery stories. The calm and soothing voice of English Literature Professor, Stephen Fry only adds to the ambiance and immersion of the tales.

It's exactly what one might expect when buying a book about Holmes stories. It is neatly compiled but the order of stories (not chronological but in publishing order) might be confusing at times

This just too damn long

I love love love these books. When I moved all the way across the country and could only take a few things these two volumes came with me, even though I have read them many many times.
