This one didn’t grab me right away like the first two Thursday Murder Club books did, but after a bit I was hooked again. I love this series for the funny and real main characters who always look out for each other. The messes they get their group into might work out a bit too neatly sometimes (as often happens in whodunnits!), but I want it to work out for these characters, and if life isn’t perfect, at least life in fiction can try to be. When can I move into
Coopers Chase??

Once again a Thursday Murder Club has me cackling and crying constantly throughout.

Also not long after reading this I actually ate at a Wimpy and all I could think about was Joyce.

This is definitely my favourite 'Thursday Murder Club' book to date and I am highly anticipating the fourth one! I thought this one had a really great plot and I had not managed to work out who the killer was (although I don't read a lot of crime books so unsure if my inexperience with them contributed to this!).

One thing I felt really came together well in this book was the interaction between all of the characters. I feel as though we really know the characters now and whilst Elizabeth's past life is not fully known still, it was certainly given more attention to in this book. I was disheartened that we did not see more of Donna and Chris, but I still liked their respective involvement in the story.

In terms of story writing, I thought it was told really well and the chapters were nice and short, as well as really easy to read and I absolutely flew through this. I felt it was funny in the most appropriate places, and leads of suspects were placed well throughout the book. I have loved the other two books in the series so far, but this certainly was the one in which I felt everything came together more smoothly. Coupled with the interaction and familiarity of characters, this made this by far my favourite.

This series is getting better with each book, especially on audio.

I feel like Richard Osman is hitting his stride with this books. He weaves multiple storylines while keeping the characters just as rich, funny and loveable as ever. I love reading this series and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

All the Thursday Murder Club books are great and this is no exception. I love our murder hunting elder crew. It was nice to get a few new characters too. I will definitely always plan to read these books. I can never guess how they will end and I love how the truth finally comes out in the end.
