I picked up this book because of my english teacher yes, we had read a charter (in the nursery) and watched to movie during class and I just had to read the whole book, my teacher told me “you’re in for a treat” and he was right, even tho I might have liked the movie a bit more, this book was still great, when I first picked it up at page 100 I couldn’t stop reading again I had to finish it

I'd say it was okay. It had a few chilling moments and the prose was nice, however don't expect crafty wordplay of Victorian Gothic, if you are a great LeFanu, James or Lovecraft fan. To me it would have been much better if compressed into a short story, rather than a novella-length. I think it gives the book too much unnecessary breathing time so next apparition of the Woman in Black is not so shocking and actually quite expected. A good read for one evening.
