The author is problematic and this can be seen within her writing. Slurs are used often when those needs/feelings could have been expressed in a different way. Some racist terms are also used through out the book. I enjoy the plot and story but it does need to be judged for being problematic.

A friend censored the particularly violent parts for me, which I appreciate greatly. The sports part made me think of Haikyuu and I’m sure I’ll be just as obsessed with this series as that!
