“I’ve only ever wanted to be with you” - Jonah
“One of these days, that girl is gonna notice me. You just wait” - Miller

Alllllll the feels my friends! I absolutely loved Regretting You. A story about love, grief, family and friendship with a side of sarcasm and a little humor. What an emotional rollercoaster this little gem has been.

No one ever said parenting was easy and Morgan comes face-to-face with that reality the moment her phone rings. Life as she knows it has changed in an instant when the news of a tragic event involving her husband Chris comes to the forefront. Despite the pain and anger, Morgan decides to protect her daughter Clara at all costs. Clara is 16 though, and the news shatters her completely leading her to fully rebel. Building a wedge in their relationship.

This story is told in dual POV’s between Morgan and Clara. I enjoyed the mother/daughter dynamic. Seeing how they both deal with the same situation from completely different perspectives was definitely interesting. Watching them fall apart broke me, but watching their relationship mature filled my heart.

And the other characters lol Lexie and her dry humor…. Gramps and his grumpiness …. And then comes Miller -sigh- the way that Colleen brings his character around full circle…. Wow, just wow.

So yea…. For me this was a really good one. Giving it 4.5 stars, rounding up to 5.

PS. Totally caught the Maybe Someday tie in with the mention of Sounds of Cedar ❤️

THIS BOOK. This book may have been my favorite by Colleen Hoover. I couldn’t put it down. Despite it a being a tear jerker, I am obsessed!! The plot, the characters, the POVs, oh my god… every aspect of it, was so flawlessly written. I highly recommend this be at the top of your CoHo TBR list.
