I can’t and won’t try to gather my thoughts to make a coherent review.

This was the most depressing and anger inducing book I actually have ever read…. but

It was also ridiculously beautiful and powerful. If you are a mother like myself, I’m certain you will definitely find the beauty or at least the importance. If you have lost someone you never got to make peace with, you will find the beauty. If you’ve dealt with betrayal, you’ll find the beauty and maybe even a lesson or two. I’ll say it a million times, no one, NO ONE, writes about the human experience (and all the ugly that comes with it) like Colleen Hoover. (She might be a sadist, idk).

But this was SO hard to read. I didn’t smile or feel any joy, not a single ounce until the epilogue. There was nothing to break up all of the (very well written) tragedy.

People calling this a light read make my brain bounce around inside my skull? What is in your closest that makes this a light read?

4/5⭐️

i have definitely missed reading coho books. this book instantly drew me in with the mother/daughter bond between clara and morgan and all the drama that this story holds. the book itself was full of so many life lessons, regrets, and inspirations. the nosy person in me would have loved to get more information about the deal the unfolds in this story, but i understand why coho doesn’t go into all that much because the story isn’t about that. it’s about love and parenting and love after loss. without giving much away, this was a beautifully done book with lots of drama, beautiful relationships, and a few shocking twists and turns. coho never misses

“i’m confident that i’ll never spend a single second of my life regretting you.”

Omg I loved this so much. The whole book I kept telling myself, if this mother would just tell Clara the truth… such a sweet story and a wonderful ending. I’ve loved everything I’ve read from Colleen Hoover thus far. Not complaints!
