Overall, I really liked the book. It made me feel a lot of emotions. 
However, Clara p*ssed me off the majority of the book. I understand she was a teenager and grieving, but as someone who also had their dad die unexpectedly when they were a teenager, I would NEVER have treated my mother that way. Miller was a saint for putting up with all the crappy things Clara did and for being as understanding as he was. She instigated most of the things she was mad about and had me putting the book down at multiple points out of frustration for her character. With that being said, grieving is such a hard and confusing process and I liked how it’s shown how ugly it can be. Clara showed a lot of character development in the end.

This book seriously stressed me out. Great story, great twists but good grief these people didn't know how to communicate! I think it's fabulous that Colleen Hoover chose to portray a 17-year old as moody and unreasonable and rebellious. So many authors tend to paint things in such a way as to make the reader believe that they teenager is in the right and the adults in the wrong. This was refreshing in that way, although Clara was a serious pain. Honesty is always best and this story sure proves it with all the assumptions made by the characters.

The ending was fabulous with Chromaphobia. That was hilarious. Tanya Eby was great, Lauren Ezzo was good. But I didn't like the male voices they did - especially Ezzo's voices for Gramps and Miller. They just sounded a little cartoonish. Still, it wasn't enough to take away the enjoyment of the book. It was heartbreaking and frustrating and any story that evokes all those emotions is a good one.
