I thought I was going to love this book, but it didn't do it for me. Honestly, I only finished it because it is written by Colleen. When I started to read this book I was liking it. It is a little bit predictable, but I didn't mind. The book became hard for me to read after Clara and Miller kissed for the first time. After that chapter, I was getting tired and annoyed by this book. My biggest problem: Clara.
I've been reading some reviews and many people are praising Morgan and Clara's relationship. I honestly don't get it. Their relationship is not nice at all. Not even before Chris and Jenny died. Their relationship it's just disastrous. Maybe I don't get it because I'm not a mother, but I do have a mom and I would never treat her the way Clara treated Morgan. It's unacceptable. I was a teenager not so long ago, and I also had arguments with my mom. I mean, we all do. At 16 and 17, I was also going through some crappy situations, but I never disrespected my mom.
Also, why is Clara such a needy person when it comes to Miller? I mean, I kinda get it. They just started their relationship, blah blah blah. It was just too much for me. I also didn't like what she did to him. It was... gross. I don't know why Miller got back with her that soon. The worst part of this is that, after that happened, the next morning Clara said, "Even though I’ve only been seventeen for a few hours, I’m proud of my newfound maturity." Really, Clara? Is that the best that you can do? And after that, guess what? She did dirty to Miller AGAIN. Clara, sometimes it is better to keep quiet.
As I was reading Clara's chapters, I would say to myself, "She's just a teenager." But then I would see Miller, who is also a teenager, and realized that Clara is just a very annoying and rude person and that it has nothing to do with her being a teenager. I wanted to skip all of her chapters. Being honest, I only skimmed through some of them because she is such an unbearable character.
Anyway, I'm giving it two stars because I liked the ending, and I think Jonah, Miller, and Miller's grandpa were good characters. Also, some parts of the book were hilarious. I laughed a lot.

i actually kinda loved this book it just gave me emotions. i would enjoy it more if those were emotions i wanted to or was ok feeling at this time. it was an annotation book

Before I started reading I was wondering who the you would be in the titles. I am halfway through and it's definitely Clara
What kind of a daughter is she? She never talks to her mother, who is nothing but always nice to her and gives her space, Clara in turn is so rude and is so full of shit.
Her mother finds her sleeping with a guy naked in the morning, and she says "how could she forget my birthday".
And apparently the mother is guilty because she, a freaking adult barely kissed a guy she had a crush on probably forever. And this girl just had sex at 16.
Make this make sense
I think I was probably not that smart when I read It ends with us
Because I can't believe it's the same writer
And this is what she is writing
She should stick to writing characters like morgan and Jonathan.
Just make a romcom with them. It's not that hard given you just have to delete half the text in your book and it will be 5 stars.
But noooooo
Colleen needs to add these cringe characters with extra drama to make her readers feel god knows what.
I am reconsidering why I even started reading romance after the barage of mid, unpleasant, unreaslitic, rambling books I have read recently.
Such a bummer.
