First Colleen Hoover book. Some of the writing was a bit clunky and like no one would ever say that, but it was still enjoyable and actually pretty funny at times with the sarcasm. Like there were actually things that I would say in real life when you’re bantering. Thought the ending with the college money was kind of dumb and unnecessary but it didn’t ruin the book or anything. The promposal was pretty cute. Teared up a few times. Of course I wanted Morgan to read the letters from Jenny and Chris but it didn’t ruin it that she didn’t.

I also realized that I hate the trope of like denying yourself everything you’ve ever wanted just to protect someone else. Like in this one, denying her love for Jonah just to protect her daughter even though her husband had been cheating on her with her own sister for who knows how long. And potentially letting her daughter despise her for attempting to move on when her husband had been so bad to her, but not telling the daughter that. Like that’s annoying to me.

It would be a 5 if there was an epilogue but it was amazing!

This was not my favorite but easy to read and some cute parts.
