Intriguing

Not as good as book 1, but mainly do to the confusing manner of the plot. There are so many threads and realities (literally) that it makes keeping up a task - but it is still worth reading. I feel like I am muddling along, trying to ferret out the meaning amide the gods and myth - like I said, it gets confusing. Maybe book 3 will clear things up?

Wow that ending was a tear jerker. Such a good book and story! I love how Malina fights for what she believes in and how she tries to fight her instincts to be with you know who. I’m sad about Ajitah and that situation and i hope something ends up happening or fixing itself there. Can’t wait for book 3

Malina needs to connect with her naga side and family to find a way to save her mother. But the nagas are out of time and place and not all of them are willing to help her and Garuda save the world. Meanwhile, the Daughter of Chaos is becoming stronger. They were able to stop her plan to corrupt Malina, but that won't stop her from trying to get her freedom.

This book keeps you hooked from page 1; while there is romance in the book, a lot of time is left in the background giving a chance for the characters and story to develop. I'm really curious to see with what man Malina will end up with.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Hunted by Sin by Jasmine Walt is book two in her Gatekeeper Chronicles series. This book picks right up where the first left off and hits the ground running. In Hunted By Sin Malina is back and she's hunting down a rogue vamp who is believed to the connecting factor behind the disappearances of several young women. Too bad she gets arrested and almost thrown into jail because the Council have passed a new law that is against anyone going out and doing "vigilante" work. Thankfully Malina has a god on her side and he helps her get out and with clearance to continue. Things get deep though when it's learned from the Head Witch that the women going missing are witch bloods and aberrations. She wants them found but quietly, too bad that won't be possible. Malina is still pursuing what could possibly be wrong with her dad but getting nowhere fast. When her father lies and says there is no way to save her mother from the entity now housed inside her body Malina discovers the truth is different altogether. Now she is out to reclaim something belonging to her mother in the hopes of making her whole and giving her a fighting chance.
This book is awesome. It grabs you and has you wanting to know what happens next with each sentence you read. Malina is battling her instincts concerning one man while her mind is leading her to the safer option. She has to choose but should she pick either one? Her dad is wanting to be exactly that...a dad but she's grown. There needs to be a compromise of some sort but how? There is so much going on with this book it's intense but amazing. I love the dynamics of the various characters and how well they all blend together. This story is so unique and I absolutely love it.
There honestly isn't anything I don't like about this book. I'm ready for the next one in this series.
If you've read the first book in this series and loved it grab this book now and dive in! It's a great read and one that you will be hard pressed to put down and walk away. It leaves you wanting more that's for sure. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed this book, I like the characters and the story, even if I can’t relate much to this universe, and I will start the last book in the series immediately after this one.
