I loved how the writing was like found footage. Would love to know who the author was and read more of their books!
the writing was really great but the ending was such a big disappointment - just literally every creepypasta you've ever read kind of ending. One day I'll find a book that scares me as much as marble hornets did when I was 16.
Interesting concept. Was creepy at times but didn't fully immerse me like I would expect a slender man book to do.
This was a slow start but was such a good read! It's a very fast read and I love how the story unfolds. I highly recommend if you like thrillers/light horror. I really enjoy the Slenderman lore and this was a great story to add to the lore. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one sitting. I found myself skimming over many of the journal entries and “found” story documents however. It was interesting, but I found the other aspects of the story more interesting.
This did what it came to do. It was eerie and thrilling. It kept me interested the whole way through, and I would definitely reread this novel.
I loved this book a lot, but there are certain parts that were kind of confusing or just odd. I did love the mixed media aspect, through the police logs, diary entries, and text messages. And I did love the mystery involved through the dates marked on the text chats, as it allowed me to be curious.
One thing that confused me is how... unknowledgeable the author seemed about a high school setting? Things like Matt, a 17 year old, taking 'AP math' or having recess really pulled me out of the story.
Even though I really liked how the different aspects were dated, it annoyed me that the text message portions only gave the day of the week and not the date.
Overall, I really liked the foreshadowing and the sense of inevitability once I finally came to the conclusion that Matt was going to disappear. I love the fact that they used an interview with Jamie to subtly tell the reader something was going to happen.

I liked this more then I thought I would! I picked this up cause I have a weird fascination with spooky internet stories and I also thought the Slenderman murders were wild. This book reminded me of books I loved to read in middle school cause it’s all written in emails, interviews and text messages. I didn’t understand the point of Ryan cause at first I thought he was going to be involved in the missing girl.
