Die Handlung dreht sich um Kat & ihre Mutter, die als Juwelendiebinnen ein gefährliches Spiel spielen. Kats Mom ist ein absoluter Profi, wenn es darum geht, die Reichen & Schönen auszunehmen. Ihr letzter großer Coup soll auf dem glamourösen Anwesen der Milliardärsfamilie Sutherland stattfinden – danach soll endgültig Schluss sein, & Kat soll niemals in dieses Geschäft einsteigen. Doch Kat wäre nicht Kat, wenn sie sich nicht irgendwie hineinschmuggeln würde. Überraschend treffen sie dort auf ihre Konkurrenz: Kats Ex-Stiefvater & dessen Sohn Liam haben ebenfalls die Sutherlands ins Visier genommen. Als auf der Party ein Mord geschieht, geraten Kat & Liam in tödliche Gefahr & wissen plötzlich nicht mehr, wem sie trauen können – vielleicht nicht einmal einander. Denn eines beherrschen alle hier perfekt: Lügen.

I found this to be a rote plot: 3 unlikely teenagers foible their way through solving a murder mystery, making terrible decisions along the way. The plot was so twisted and convoluted it was hard to follow what was happening.
