This book was just as exciting and thought provoking as "All for Anna" by Nicole Deese! The story pulls you in and you don't want to stop reading until you reach the end. Nicole Deese writes about things that could/are happening in someones life. It really hits home and makes you think about your life and if you are like the character in the book. After reading this book, I had much to think about and reflect upon. Along with her other 2 books in the series I have read, all 3 books hit home and makes you fall in love with the main character. You can't help but feel what she is feeling and wonder how she will overcome her battles. A must read, along with her other 2 books in the series!

Liked this better than the first in the series, but both are worth reading.

I got this book from a GoodReads First Reads giveaway and having not read the first book I didn't really know what to expect. The good thing though is that you don't even need to read the first book. This book was perfect as a stand alone.

Charlotte "Charlie" Lexington's mother committed suicide when she was five and since then she has always fell unwanted. Piano seems to be the one thing in her life that takes away any feelings that she isn't good enough. Until she meets Briggs.

Calvin "Briggs" Briggs-Morrison is a firefighter who is recovering from being addicted to women, booze and fighting. He's one of those people that you can't help but fall madly in love with because of how very big his heart is. How very protective and caring he is. It only gets better when the two of them are thrust together because of Charlie's bad choices at school this past semester.

From the moment she started calling him Manny, and then had to explain what that even meant, I knew that this was going to be an amusing relationship. What I hadn't expected was how emotional it would be. Their entire relationship was a roller coaster with its ups and down and loops. But I loved every second of it. The sentences are a little short, and usually that would take away (in my opinion) from the maturity of the novel, but not in this story. Watching Charlie grow up from a partying college girl hell bent on making the wrong decisions to the girl she became at the end of the book was wonderful. The only thing that could have made the book better would have been to have more scenes of them actually dating in it. As it was there isn't much, it's mostly all UST.

Despite all of that this is the kind of book that I would read over and over again. I'm so glad I got the chance to read it.
