I really luved this story! I want to be Liam's forever girl!! Seriously 10 years apart is such a small price to pay to be his forever girl!! Awwwww

I don't have words right now to say how much I love this book.
It was well written, the story was feel with everything!

Follow your dreams, never give up. Even if the path gets rough, but take the ones who will make your path ease. Be with the ones you love along your dream. What I just wrote, its what I take from this book.

I wanted to like this book so much more than I actually did. The idea is cute, but the execution is just lacking. I didn't feel for the main characters and they were actually rather immature. The author keeps bringing up that the main girl is from "the wrong side of the tracks", except nothing about her or her life has any sort of evidence to back that up (actually she seems rather well brought up and well off). The main male character is rather irritating I don't see why she would go for him based on anything that the author has written outside of the fact that he was her high school sweetheart. The whole book just is not believable. I will probably attempt the other books in this series because I'm a sucker for a quick read romance, but I don't have a huge desire to see the movie that is based off this book.

SPOILER ALERT!

It was great building up and developing the story but I disagree with a few parts especially in the ending chapters let me down starting at their private booth in the dark corner heavy petting session that lead to the dance floor that lead to the few minutes of sexy time.

Don't use your deceased best friends birthday celebration to pop the question to your girl!

So I was looking up the movie version and if I want to read it, and whaddaya know... I already did!
Just not that memorable I guess, lol (so I deducted a star)

...............original review.......................
I ended up listening to this one on audio even though I bought the book format a while ago. The problem with that is if there are slow sections there is no way to adjust the pace. If it was a book, I'd have skimmed a fair bit in the first quarter, as it seemed to wallow too much. Yes he left, yes she was sad, yes he's an asshat for it. But it picks up pace and the side characters help out after a bit. I guess I would have liked more of an epilogue at the end. There is another novella that follows and brings closure for Nick (whom I felt bad for... I mean it's not like Liam was Mr. Goodguy... more like 'Mr.Likes his cake and eat it too'). Sometimes I wondered why Nick was even in the story...
But I am not a fan of 'Old beau finally gets off their ass and returns after 10 wasted years'... stories. The excuses usually burn my britches! This book being no exception. The OM is of course a convenient excuse for some of his asshat behavior.
This is one of those books that rely on flashbacks. A lot. The flashbacks sucked in the audio format, because there is no warning when the storyline switches. So it could be a bit confusing and jarring for a moment. Other than that though, the reader did a great job. He even sang one of the songs and did a pretty good job of it. Nice low masculine voice!
Overall it was a fun read and had a satisfying ending with the usual room and setup for more books in the series. If you like this kinda story I would also recommend 'love's Rhythm' by Lexxie Couper.

a really quick romance story between a popular rockstar Liam Page(Westbury) and his old first love Josie. After he finds out he's a father without knowing for 10 years he comes back to Beaumont and hopes he's gonna get back the love of his life,Josephine and Noah his nine years old boy.But things gets complicated when Liam comes back home and his old highschool enemy,Nick, wants to marry his girl.

*i liked the story but it was kinda cliche even if it was between two adults
*a short book to read on summer
