What a sweet, adorable story. Glad I finally read this!
Sometimes when you live in a small town, you are the quarterback and your girlfriend is a cheerleader the future has written itself. They spend their high school yrs together and go off to college to live the future everyone is sure they will do
Only Liam decides his future is not what he wants and decides to live his dream. Only he thinks he needs to break off things with his high school sweetheart, walk out on friends he has known since the nursery and walk away he does.
Ten yrs later his childhood friend dies and he comes home to some hate, some angry and some surprises.
This is a story you can just sit back and read. It will tell the story itself. Can Liam rebuild the bridges he blew up so many years ago or he will be left alone as he left them?

LOL what. I watched this movie on Netflix and really liked it so thought I’d read the book. The movie is MUCH better with actual likable characters
Loved the story. It had the perfect amount of angst to propel the story forward... but no unnecessary drama. This story was realistic, heartwrenching and it gave me all the feels.
Having listened to the audiobook, the narrators were decent, but I felt like they were either too monotone for the situation or they were both trying to be breathless and/or seductive when it wasn't necessary. It was distracting enough for me to think about it while following the story. Not enough that I didn't enjoy the book. I would definitely recommend.

Honestly if you’ve seen the movie it’s completely different. So don’t get confused. There were a few editing issues which is why I gave this 3 stars but other than that I really liked it
**I finished this on 16/01/2018 but goodreads is not allowing me to save the date**
This was a really nice, easy and quick read. It was similar to other romance books like those by Nicolas Sparks.
The main characters are Josie and Liam. Liam is an international rock star who used to be a very good football but he turned his back on that as well as everything else in his life at the time including his girlfriend at the time Josie. Now Liam has returned to the town he grew up in due to the death of an old friend and he is now face to face with Josie and his child he didn't know he had.
There are some secondary characters but none I thought particularly noteworthy.
The storyline isn't the most original but it is a very nice read. It is also quick and easy to read. The pacing is good.

I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this. A word of warning it is not like the movie
Meh. 2.5 stars. This book wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either. It felt half finished.
Sooooo I read this bc I had watched the movie and it could not be more different from the movie! I preferred the book way more. I felt like the movie has sown cringe cheesy moments but didn’t feel that way with the book. I didn’t want to put it down!
Decent storyline... not very good writing. The conversations seemed odd, unrealistic or forced...
