The book is amazing!!! Declan is a guy you want to hate but can’t because he’s been through so much. He might not know how to connect with people, but he’s trying to be better. Declan took so much crap growing up so his younger siblings didn’t have to, so I really respect that.

And Iris is such a strong woman of color! She grew up in a terrible circumstance and her learning disabilities was a struggle but it never let it stop her!

Cute romance scenes and spicy scenes! I also loved the dirty air reference and Iris crush on Santi because me to girl lmao

this book was much better than the first book it the series.  that said, it did still have its own flaws.  it constantly felt like one step forward, two steps back with iris and declan’s relationship.  they had a lot of super cute moments and declan coming out of his grumpy shell for her was sweet to read, however they also had many moments of speaking in aged and belittling each other and their relationship.  i did not love how the conflict was handled but the ending was cute.  overall i did enjoy this book but the behavior from them can’t be completely overlooked even though they had rough pasts to back it up.
