“There is nothing I want more than to turn a house into a home with you.”

This book has everything I love: marriage of convenience, fake dating, office romance and grumpy x sunshine.

I LOVED how the grumpy, coldhearted hero had a soft spot ONLY for the FMC.
Declan and Iris are perfect together!! I love how Declan slowly learned to express his feelings for Iris, in a very sweet and unique way might I add, and instead of running from love he decided to finally run towards it. Iris brings the best in Declan. I trully love how their relationships developed throughout the book. It was one of the few slow burns that did not bore me.

Honestly, Iris is an incredible, hardworking woman, who I admire. A role model. And Declan?? He definitely had character growth by the end and he is totally loveable. I mean, who doesn't love a broody, sexy billionaire who would do anything for the woman he loves?

“I’ll give you anything you want—anything at all—so long as you give me a chance to make you as happy as you make me. A dog. A family. A home. I want it all. These are my terms and conditions, take it or leave it because I’m not open to negotiations.”

This book gave what needed to give. I loved every page(well minus the angst, but unfortunately that's necessary and it made the groveling all the more interesting).

And the epilogue + bonus epilogue??? I swoon so hard and my heart was full at the point of bursting. Seriously, Lauren Asher is a master at writing epilogues!

lived up to hype

Declan Kane needs a wife. Iris Landry needs to stop covering for her boss. After several misses, they manage to work it out.

I read this one because so many people had been. Hyping it up. And while I definitely enjoyed it, I honestly wanted more.

I have no intention of continuing the series. If you like fake marriage and slowburn, then this is for you.

Tbh honest I don’t even really know what to say. Just safe your time and take this book of sour tbr.
The idea wow. This is actually one of my favorite tropes but the execution…. Nah terrible
I’m not really good at reviewing stuff but the characters were really hard to like.
Normally I inhale books but this one was sooo hard to finish.
I almost DNFed it but I fought through till the end bc I had hopes it would get better…
Surprise:

It didn’t !
