Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King — I would not really call this horror. It feels more like a thriller, and at its heart it is about female rage. I did not realise King tackled that theme, but I am glad he did. A fantastic read.
I had a good idea where the story was headed early on, but the journey was still worth it. King is a phenomenal storyteller, and it is always interesting to peek into his weird, twisted mind. This one stood out because it was eye-opening to hear a male author write so sharply about the struggles of a housewife who witnesses abuse and deals with it cleverly.
I listened to the audiobook in a single day on the beach, quick, easy and addictive. Not my favourite King novel, but far from my least favourite.

Die ersten 50 Seiten gehen einfach nur über Kacke. Aber die Story line an sich super geschrieben und wie immer die krassesten Vergleiche gezogen. Mir hat das Buch gut gefallen, allerdings war das Ende ein wenig schwach.
We are truly blessed to have Stephen in our literary lives. Honestly, I’m convinced the man could hand in his grocery list, and it would still be a bestseller. Nothing he puts to paper could possibly do us wrong. I actually laughed out loud multiple times during this one. Two powerhouse women clawing their way to the top of a man's world. I love how it feels like we're placed right in the middle of that interview listening to Dolores tell her side of the story.

To nobody’s surprise, I absolutely loved this. A masterclass in storytelling.
