Well yeah it’s simple and that’s why it’s popular it’s seems deep but it’s not
It’s simple at best and I know for a fact I’m not reading it again ever

If Cats Disappeared From the World is a charmingly reflective story of a young man coming to terms with his own life, and his impending death.

While much if the moment to moment writing felt flat to me, I can easly put that down to it being a translation rather than the original text. I think this slight barrier is the only thing keeping it from being a 4 star review. When the character loses themselves to a philosophical thought or reflects on a forgotten memory, the text comes alive and absorbs you into the character's mind.

Ultimately it was short and enjoyable with enough little laughs and deep reflections on the meaning of life for me to read most of the book in one long, enjoyable session.
