2.5 * for me. The earlier issues really captured me with Nat's tortured history and her desire to be something better. I almost feel like the creative team was ramping up for a longer run when they got word that there was an imminent cutoff date. Why else would this last few issues feel so rushed and incomplete when the rest was so beautifully paced? Whatever the reason, this volume tried to do way too much. There was Nat's ugly history, which was shown in a pretty heavy-handed way, there was a tour through some of her relationship history, also sort of clumsily done, there was a hurried resolution to the action with Chaos, and then there was a race through "what's next for Natasha" which was ultimately really unclear. Who was she saving and from what? The problem is, this was so scattered and hurried that I don't care very much. I lost that lovely thread, which is terribly disappointing.

~~ super quick review ~~

I loved this because I felt like, after reading it, that I knew Natasha Romanoff better than anyone else in the world and that was a lovely connection for the author to make with the reader. Noto's artwork was breath-taking, as usual and this volume was probably the most emotional of them all. I'm still working out about how I feel about it but overall, a really strong volume and had an excellent emotional pull.

I just wanna hold Natasha forever because she is important to me and I adore her. Also, my wife and I purchased issues from this whole series to hang up on our walls because we love the art so so much. I can't wait till we put them up. <3

(also, pls let this be the book that breaks my slump hahaha.)

This one was darker than the past two volumes. You get to see her being smart, resourceful and determined. You also get to see her as a child, and as a Red Room agent. The action this time is more intense and I sort of felt pain with her (January:Part Two really hit hard). I think this one is my favorite volume and the stories told is amazing.

Most of the rating is for the art, which is still amazing and great. Story felt like it should have ended two issues sooner for a more cohesive ending, but I know it's because of Interconnected Comic Stuff (which I hate with a passion).
