Little dissapointment, not a sophie summer literature, expected more from the author, not shit, just dissapointing. But kahn was funny. So not actively bad like sofies world. The book, not the person

Loved the ideas in this one but pacing issues early on made it a sometimes repetitious read. I loved all the evolution interludes. Great ending with a hopeful note. Tchaikovsky is becoming a must read.

This was an enjoyable read with lots of fascinating ideas throughout! The characters were all interesting and diverse, with a range of different motivations; it was fun to see how they interacted. That said, it felt like the plot slowed midway through with very little of consequence actually happening. I also can't help feeling that the author came up with the concept first, and subsequently tried to fit a plot around it. Regardless it was still well worth reading, and I liked the interesting way in which the plot resolved near the end.

Very interesting concept. But not a good story. It took way too long to set up, and it was very exposition heavy. I prefer story through human interaction, not through plot dump and deus ex.

Premise was excellent, worlbuilding good, characters OK but quite 2-dimensional, plot was variable with a lot of running around action segments which do nothing for me in written fiction. Worth reading but that's it - was glad to finish.
