I loved the way this book was written. For a serious subject, the book was fun to read through each characters perspective. A great story too!
3,5 /5 stars
Overall it was a good book. But it just wasn't the book for me. That's why I gave it a more mediocre rating.

This book was very well written and its content is certain to create discussion, and discussion about very important topics.
There was a lot in this book which I could relate to. A lot, which made me think and assess myself and assess Hannah and people around her. A lot, which was interesting to read about as it was different from my world. And many sentences which I wanted to print out and stick everywhere around myself. I liked how the book showed that many small problems can turn into the weight which you won't be able to carry around anymore and that there is not always a tragic backstory behind the people, who commit suicide.
I loved this book. It makes you think about your day to day life and what exactly is going on around you. There is honestly very little I didn't like about this book. It makes you think and feel for the characters.
I think I cried through, at least, half of this book.. Maybe I'm just too emotional?
Anyway, I read it beginning to end in some afternoon and some night yesterday,(the 20th), but I was so tired I just went to bed and it was the best book I've read in a really long time..

This book glamorizes suicide.
This book pretends love can cure mental illness.
I hate this book.

When I first started this book, I was completely shocked. I thought to myself, “why on earth would someone write a book in this way?!” But it’s an amazing story. The way Hannah and Clay’s story flow and mix together is incredibly well done. Even though you know the outcome of the story at the very beginning – Hannah commits suicide – you are still hopeful that she doesn’t actually go through with it. You hear the story as it’s happening to her, with the knowledge that it’s already happened. This book also makes you aware of how you treat other people. Just a smile, a compliment, or a conversation can change a person’s life for the better.
