Very solid noir story which takes place in a scifi background. Well written and engaging with a twist partway through that extremely well thought out. Fans of Chinatown and BSG should definitely pick this up. It's written by George R Martin's assistant who you can tell has small influences in character development and story building.

Fun, engaging and action-packed, if politically impotent and  slightly sexist.

Flew through this one. Excellent near-future sci-fi. The show really did justice to this book.

James Holden is SUCH a boy scout. Never change, kiddo.

Well, after finishing Leviathan Wakes, I now want to binge The Expanse because that was A LOT of fun. My favorite part about this first book is how the story became something I wasn't expecting at all. A book rarely does something I don't see coming and when one does, it makes me very, very happy.

A diverse cast of characters with tender, funny, and detailed character-building moments laced throughout a compelling plot set in a colonized solar system? You can't top that.

The only part that brought this down a bit was part of Miller's storyline. I won't dive into spoilers, but I feel it could've been told in a different, less creepy way. Otherwise, this was quite the solid start to what I'm sure will end up being one of my new favorite sci-fi series!

Zwłaszcza Holden, a on bywa nie do zniesienia.

Byle do 6 tomu :)
