Over my head, I think. Interesting concept, but confusing!

I couldn't get into it. I found the way it was written tedious to listen to, and I had other, more exciting books waiting for their turn.

06/09/24 I had extremely high expectations for this book which ultimately led to its downfall and my dissatisfaction. That sounds really harsh... but this had all the components of a solid book that I personally would love, and it went nowhere. It was not as impactful or significant as I felt like it was trying to be. The characters and how they intertwine and connect was lost potential. I lost hope (and started skimming pages) at the last third of the book where everything felt so heavy-handed and pointless. What is the point? What happened? How did the book even end? I couldn't tell you. I did enjoy reading some of this book, but reflecting after finishing is really disappointing.

Took a bit to get into this one, and wasn’t sure who’s POV the last few chapters were from, but it was intriguing and left a lot to think about in terms of how we move in the world. A bit dystopian and not a light read, but one I’ll go back to as I chew on this some more.
