Our Nature lies in movement; complete calm is death. Pascal

Parts of this were really interesting, but I didn't love the writing and it had very little flow or organization. I also couldn't figure out the bits and pieces of journals/other writers. I did like what it tells about Aboriginal Australia and human evolution.

Very good - enjoyed the insight into the aborigine culture and struggle and the assumption that settling down (and claiming land)is equal to progress.

I was drawn to this book for learning more about aboriginal culture and songlines. Turns out the book is a mix of fiction and non-fiction, and it's hard to tell between the two. It has the fell of your crazy uncle telling tall tales so to speak in a series of back to back short stories. I did gain some insight into what the songlines are though, and I suppose it was worth the time reading all the tall tales to once in a while enjoy the story of a songline.

Non mi ha convinto perché pensavo fosse un saggio antropologico e invece questo tizio racconta dei suoi viaggi e delle persone che incontra ho preso un granchio

I read this so long ago, and LOVED it.
